Training Partners Make Our Certificate Programs Even Better

You can’t train the best editors, producers, designers, and engineers in the business without the best technology partners. At Video Symphony, our instructors are decorated, industry pros, our students carry around cutting-edge hardware and software to give them more time to learn the tools of the trade, and our classes, like our AVID program that has been voted the best in the country three times or our industry-leading Pro Tools training, are certified by the most important names in media and multimedia. Read below for details on our excellent training partners.

AVID leads the professional, nonlinear editing market. Most major TV shows and films are edited on AVID Media Composer and Film Composer. VS has the best catalogue of AVID programs and Media/Film, Composer/Symphony courses in the world. We have been the world’s largest AVID Authorized Education Center since 1996, and our students train on the latest AVID tools, taught by industry-leading experts. Video Symphony is also an authorized proctor for AVID Certified User exams.

Pro Tools continues to lead the world of audio post production. Students use this powerful digital system to record, process, edit, mix, and master professional-quality audio in a single, integrated system. Students train on 12 Digidesign Pro Tools HD systems with the latest version of Pro Tools. We are also an authorized proctor for Digidesign Pro Tools Operator Certification exams.

Many of the biggest animated movies and special effects are made on Alias/Wavefront’s Maya 3D platform. All our animation and 3D effects students learn the intricacies of this software to become masters of Maya’s unparalleled capabilities for realistic representation and complex motion.

Some jobs call for Final Cut Pro and DVD Studio Pro, and Video Symphony has world-class training with these too. Video Symphony also administers Apple’s Certified User tests, which provide Apple certification in Final Cut Pro and DVD Studio Pro.

The Adobe training package at Video Symphony - Photoshop, After Effects, Illustrator, and Flash – gives students deep expertise with the most important digital imaging software in the industry. Graphic designers, photographers, multimedia developers, and 3D artists need to master their respective Adobe tool, Photoshop for digital artists, After Effects for image compositing and field-based recording, and Illustrator for print and multimedia.

Cinema 4D’s intuitive interface and logical workflow tools enable 3D novices to get started immediately. This tool remains popular among motion graphic artists and broadcast designers. Highly compatible with Adobe’s Creative Suite, this easy-to-learn tool lets VS students get started while they climb more complicated learning curves.

Students receive SRS Circle Surround Sound (Course PT 222) training in the Pro Tools Audio Engineering Program. This system can be used to create surround sound content for radio and television broadcast, feature films, DVDs, and CDs. Learning this system, which encodes up to 6.1 channels of audio for transmission over standard stereo carriers and preserves the creative intent of the original mix enables VS students to produce better mixes and bring sound to life.

Pond5 is the world's most vibrant marketplace for media makers, offering the web's largest collection of royalty-free stock video footage, as well as millions of stock photos, illustrations, music tracks, sound effects, Adobe After Effects project templates, and 3D models.
