Video Symphony is a top-rated Avid Pro Tools school. We provide world-class Pro Tools courses in audio editing. Our courses are so effective that they draw pros from within the industry sent back by their employers to brush up their skills. Video Symphony provides a superior education. We give students the choice of learning digital audio recording, sound editing, and mixing. Video Symphony gives students the best possible chance to succeed after graduation.

Pro Tools systems play essential roles in nearly every entertainment industry, including music recording, feature film production, television production, video game production, and radio. Video Symphony uses state-of-the-art Pro Tools equipment, cutting edge studios, and editing bays to train and practice. We employ the best instructors in the business, pulled from the very industries where our students want to work.

Our Pro Tools courses are taught by Avid Certified instructors. In fact, our primary Pro Tools Instructor, Joel Krantz, was one of the experts who developed the courseware for Avid and wrote the course book! We have developed several other exclusive Pro Tools classes. Every Pro Tools and Avid course at Video Symphony has gained significant praise from pros in the industry.

Most of our Pro Tools courses are dedicated to music production. However, we also offer specialized classes to help Pro Tools certificate program students develop more specific expertise, such as our “Sound for Film” and post-production courses.

Our Pro Tools Studios

Studio One: Each of our six workstations has an Avid Pro Tools HD system coupled with the ProControl Plus Edit Pack. This enables students to program and control up to 128 high-definition tracks simultaneously. These workstations include important peripherals such as AVoption|XL, which supports instant capture, import, and playback of Avid-compatible broadcast-quality media directly within Pro Tools HD.

Each system also has a professional-quality video deck for digitizing, editing, and playback, and includes an extensive collection of high-end TDM and RTAS plug-ins, software synthesizers, and samplers.

Studios A, B, C, and D: These surround sound-control rooms were built in the 70s. They feature ProTools HD5 systems with two D-Command control surfaces, a ProControl plus Edit Pak, and TOFT ATB32 (Trident) analog console respectively. Genelec Monitors and plug-ins by Waves, Sonnox, Massenburg DesignWorks, and Universal Audio are examples of standard equipment in these studios.

Studio D is also an award-winning recording studio. It houses microphones and vintage, analog, outboard gear from makers including API, Boulder, Universal Audio, Urie Teletronix, and Vintech. It also boasts a Gotham EMT 140S Stereo Tube Plate Reverb.
